For example, when these agents enter federal service, they start with a base pay of around $39,000, but with availability pay, the total earning accounts to about $49,000. Once they advance further to assignments that are non-supervisory, the base salary is around $61,000 which finally totals to about $76,000 with the availability pay. At the executive, management and supervisory levels, FBI agents earn a base pay of anywhere between $76,000 and $85,000, which finally values between $90,000 and $105,000 along with the availability pay. Overtime charges are paid to these professionals in addition, but this accounts to a few thousand dollars annually.
